Collar-sleeve guard intro

Collar-sleeve Guard

In this video, I continue introducing concepts for collar-sleeve guard. I also go over triangle and omaplata and when to go for one or the other.

Collar-sleeve guard defense.

The key to collar-sleeve guard defense is 1) good posture (head high, butt low) and 2) connecting your elbow to your knee. If you can accomplish both, then start clearing the leg on the side that opponent is not dominating, and look for a pass. If you are having trouble connecting your elbow and knee (that is, opponent is dominating your posture) I go over a move where you step on their hip and drop back (as if you were going for a foot-lock), and then leg drag their leg, and come up for a pass.
